Get to Know Jaclyn Keller

What is your favorite thing about being an optometrist?

I enjoy working with patients and caring for their eye health needs. The eye is so fascinating because it really is the window into the rest of the body. I get to be a part of not just helping them see better and managing ocular conditions, but also potentially making a referral to save their life based on findings in their eye.

 

What are your hobbies?

I love anything outdoors – camping, hiking, etc. I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters.

 

What is your favorite holiday and why?

Christmas is my favorite holiday, not because of all the gifts, but the magic and meaning of the season. I love Christmas music, lights, and trees.

 

Where has been your favorite place you’ve traveled and where would you like to travel to someday?

Banff National Park in Canada is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I would like to travel to Alaska, but my bucket list of places includes many national parks and every state (33/50 so far).

 

What is your favorite thing about working at VEA?

The staff and patients have been great. Everyone has been so welcoming! I look forward to being a part of a team who cares so much about the patients and each other.
