OUR PATIENTS LOVE THEIR RESULTS!

I had an excellent experience with my EVO ICL surgery. From the initial consultation to the surgery day, everything was clearly explained in a way I could easily understand. The entire staff was extremely kind and professional, especially at the surgery center. Dr. Phil Smith was very friendly, patient, and thorough in explaining the procedure, and he personally performed my surgery. Five months later, I am very happy with my results. I highly recommend this experience to anyone considering EVO ICL. – Margie R.

For myself, the procedure couldn’t have gone more smoothly! Everyone helps so much to prepare you beforehand for everything you can expect with the procedure. I had LASIK surgery yesterday with Dr. Vrabec. I have nothing but good things to say about Valley Eye Associates. Everyone I worked with was very nice and professional. I had zero pain during my procedure and afterwards. If you are on the fence on getting LASIK eye surgery, do it. These folks know what they doing. For the first time since elementary school I can see clearly without contacts or glasses. – Jake S.

Just had an EVO ICL done at Valley Eye and my whole experience so far has been amazing. Dr Vrabec was such a personable doctor, and is great at explaining any questions or concerns I’ve had so far. Best feeling is waking up in the morning and being able to see without having to reach for my glasses. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Dr. Vrabec!!! – Carly F.

Really wish I did this 20 years ago for Lasik. Staff were friendly and the procedure was virtually painless. The next morning I had slight irritation but could see perfectly. By the end of the second day all irritation was gone. I could not be happier! – Ericka K.

I had an EVO ICL procedure done at Valley Eye Associates. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful every step of the way. My options were explained to me in depth and on more than one occasion, so I felt confident in my choice. The procedure itself was quick, essentially pain free (maybe a little discomfort), and I was driving and had 20/25 vision the very next day. I can’t recommend this procedure or Valley Eye Associates enough. – Sara P.

LASIK is the best money you’ll ever spend on your eyes! I am 46 years old and a new mom. As our daughter grows, I want to be there for her during the night, see the stars when camping, and not fumble with off-days of wearing contacts. I’ve been wearing contacts since college. I hated wearing my glasses, and I was content with a light contacts prescription.
My husband had a much heavier glasses prescription, and he had LASIK done in 2020. He has been thrilled with his results and now sees 20/15–which is better than 20/20! He’s been encouraging me to get a free consult for the last 6 years, just to see if I’d be a good candidate for LASIK.
After finally scheduling my free consult, I learned I was a good candidate. So I began the process. I stayed out of my contacts 10 days prior to the big pre-surgery eye exam. I had read that if you have an astigmatism or if you wore contacts a long time, being out of contacts longer before this exam would allow your eyes to reshape and relax into their true prescription needs. So, I was quite surprised to learn that Valley Eye Associates thought I didn’t need LASIK on both eyes, just my dominant eye. The funny thing is my dominant eye had a lighter prescription than the other! I had been overprescribed, or so they said, in years past. This is not uncommon, we learned. Between the overprescribing and dominant eye factor, we felt confused, and I asked to be re-checked. Valley Eye Associates was kind enough to do so just before the LASIK procedure to confirm. My husband came to that appointment, and Dr. Scanlon explained even more fully to us her same previous recommendation. She gave us the confidence we needed, and it turned out she was right on.
The procedure itself was painless, and my system responded very well to the calming Valium. Dr. Vrabec was very kind and explained things well. Recovering with only 1 eye was easy, and I did all the drops as prescribed. I now barely need all the extra moisture eye drops we bought — my husband needed them daily for months in both eyes following his LASIK. So, it’s true that everyone responds differently. My vision took about two days to really clear into beautiful sight. I was a little worried at first. This is likely due to my brain recalibrating with the new operative dominant eye. My husband’s results in both eyes were immediate, by comparison.
I’m now past my 1-month post-surgery checkup, and I’m so happy with my vision. My combined vision is now 20/20, and my dominant eye sees 20/15. The best gift in the world is waking up to see perfect green trees and flowers outside without needing to take time to put in contacts. I also love going to bed at night without needing to take out my contacts beforehand. Even though my prescription was light, it’s been the best medical action I’ve taken. If you think about how much normal surgeries usually cost (tens of thousands of dollars), you’ll never find one so cheap and so impacting to your daily life. I’d say an average dental cleaning is often more painful and uncomfortable than LASIK. So get your free consult! You’ve got nothing to lose – Joslyn V.
